Every launch in headlines and chapters

SpaceX Falcon 9

Launches since June 4, 2010 - Chapter and Verse

Written by Johnny Nielsen

Reason and Purpose

Have you ever wondered what makes a rocket special? They go up on a tower of flames, some slowly, others faster. They all start flying sideways, usually heading east, some go south, others northeast. They all reach Low Earth Orbit going 7,5 km per second before some of them go even higher transfer orbits from the Equator.

All rockets are like that. Now this rocket Falcon 9 has learned to land. Built in 5 versions by its American company SpaceX, it has since its 19th launch landed almost regularly on land and ocean going barges barely big enough to land on. All it took was a lot of practice with really good GPS and some excellent computer programming.

Falcon 9 V1.0 Block 1 - Let's get up there - Is a regular rocket, but it works - Let's keep going up

Falcon 9 V1.1 R Block 2 - Can we get it back? - Can it land? - What do we need to do that?

Falcon 9 V1.2 Full Thrust Block 3 - So we landed - Can we tweak it? - Is it safe to fly twice?

Falcon 9 Block 4 - Stronger - Higher - Faster - What else can it do? - The best tweakings?

Falcon 9 Block 5 - Reliability - Reusability - Versatility - Finally manned flights to ISS, the Moon...

Simply put, this is the development of Falcon 9 Block 1-5 in short terms. The actual work to do all that is only understood by actual rocket scientists, and I’m not one of them.

I will now list every launch made by SpaceX Falcon 9 rockets since June 4, 2010 in the following as headlines with its chapters below, so it can be found in the launch schedule if any should want to read up on it. The odd chapters and the last chapters are usually made by me. New or unique chapters listed as well.  Repeated chapters are shortened in a line for easier reading.
